Vivien Lee is a PhD student and graduate research assistant in the Environmental and Occupational Health Section of the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona. She has been involved in health and safety related research for the last 5 years, spanning topics such as injury rate and mining-specific occupational exposure analyses. Vivien is currently working on a project that compares the emission profiles and observed acute health effects associated with inhalation of diesel and biodiesel exhaust. Her research interest area includes the study of infectious disease and parasitology, with her dissertation work focused on the environmental detection of Schistosoma spp. Vivien obtained her Bachelors of Science from the University of Toronto in Cell and Molecular Biology and her Masters of Science from the University of Arizona in Environmental Health Sciences.
